Converge Stories podcast

Apr 20, 2019

Deonn McDowell has a refreshing passion for Jesus. She had a vision many years ago while on a college campus. She saw Christians on campus as little lights that were covered and their lights were not shining. It was about 1994 when I met Deonn when she was leading a mobile campus ministries group called PHOS team on the Virginia Commonwealth University campus in Richmond, VA. Deonn joined the international committee for the new Student Mobilization Centre I founded for the University of the Nations. The purpose of the networking Centre was to equip university students from around the world to engage their world in response to God's call. Deonn was part of the foundations of the International Centre for Student Mobilization. She brings a heart that represents a simple faith, simply listening and obeying Jesus. Deonn has been to 27 countries leading training programs, including one of our internship teams to Azerbaijan. She has discipled students in YWAM and on university campuses. She can't know how influential she has been on the lives of those students and emerging leaders. Listen as Deonn shares her story doing with God what He calls her to do every day. Deonn says, "You're doing it with Him as you help fulfill His dream...Whatever the calling, it's about doing the good God stuff He is calling you to do."
